SHRFF History
2008 will be the 16th year for the Seattle Human Rights Film Festival, presented by Amnesty International.
We showed 10 films last year over the course of three days:
Divided We Fall
Total Denial
Border Echoes
Finding Dawn
Motherland Afghanistan
Darfur Diaries: Message from Home
Raised to be Heroes
Conscientous Objector
Seeing Proof
The Seeker
This year we intend to have the same number of showings. We were fortunate to have many of the filmmakers in attendance. All the screenings were followed up by a discussion with the filmmaker and/or experts in the topic at had.
In 2004 we premiered the award-winning film "Hotel Rwanda" in the Northwest.
